[edit] Monobook+Wiki.png
- I am changing monobook stylesheet for Anarchopedia. When I relize how to do it, everything will be moved to new stylesheet "anarcho". Instead of wiki flower, "wiki.png" is anarchist black star. If you don't see it, just do refresh in your browser. If you want to use original 'monobook', try with monobook-orig. --Millosh 19:08, 5 Oct 2004 (CDT)
- Hm. I see what do you want to say... I had some problems with implementation of changes. Does MediaWiki keep some configuration in database? --Millosh 19:12, 5 Oct 2004 (CDT)
- I don't really know. I just fixed the black star's transparency to properly use an alpha channel instead of binary transparency, and I removed user.gif. You might try asking on the MediaWiki mailing lists. Guanaco 19:19, 5 Oct 2004 (CDT)
- Great :) I put your star instead of old one. (It is now /images/wiki.png.) --Millosh 19:25, 5 Oct 2004 (CDT)
- It should be /images/b/bc/Wiki.png so that users can upload over it. Guanaco 19:28, 5 Oct 2004 (CDT)
- I tried to do that: I changed code as you said, I changed LocalSettings, but everything is the same. I am going to sleep now, and I'll se what is going on tomorrow. Thanks for your work. And one more note: according to naming convention [[MediaWiki:Monobook.css]] should be [[MediaWiki:en:Monobook.css]] or [[en:MediaWiki:Monobook.css]]. --Millosh 19:49, 5 Oct 2004 (CDT)
- For the CSS to work, it has to be at [[MediaWiki:Monobook.css]]. It should apply to all languages anyway. Guanaco 19:59, 5 Oct 2004 (CDT)

[edit] Administration of Anarhcopedia
- It seems that you know more about MediaWiki then me. Do you want to administrate Anarchopedia? I can give to you admin account on MediaWiki and/or shell acount on machine. Contact me via email millosh@users.sourceforge.net. --Millosh 15:03, 6 Oct 2004 (CDT)
[edit] sysop, bureaucrat, developer
- What did you do about that? Did you allow all users to have sysop rights and just to some of them gave developer rights? I think it is OK. (Developer is administrator...) But, it is unclear to me what did you do. --Millosh 11:41, 12 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- I changed
includes/User.phpso thatisSysop()would be true for any logged in user that isn't blocked. Special:Ipblocklist and Special:Blockip can be used by any "sysop" again. Anonymous users can view and restore deleted edits. Special:Makesysop is developer-only; since everyone's a sysop, the only valid flags are "developer" and "bot". Guanaco 04:23, 13 Oct 2004 (UTC)

[edit] little problems
- yes it would be good! thank you Guanaco--oui 20:38, 14 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- I have a second problem: until last sunday in MS-Windows (I use Windows 98 with IE 6.0 or the actual Nescape) only the main area of the pages appairs. the left margin (navigation, search, toolbox) go away (it is not important) but also the top margin with all the commands. if I use the totaly independant browser OffByOne, all the page appairs but OB1 (OffByOne) can't show anarchopedia in the usual presentation and for this reason it is really difficult for me to work in the last days. The appairs on 2 completely different PC's in my network. Under linux (mandrake 10) the problem don't appairs! --oui 20:38, 14 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- my friend marta covas did finish the translation into your spanish language (main page and dictionary). but her husband did find my way to built the dictionary is really complicate. it is also my opinion, but I don't know an other way now and i find it is better to spend a few energy to make an performant instrument. i suppose that you are the programmer here? perhaps you know an other better way? i suppose that the wiki machine is made of php and css? the husband of marta is professional programmer in a spanish university and a linux fan. perhaps we can interess him for this problem... --oui 20:38, 14 Oct 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Name space
- What do you think about that? May we make some code to unify users in different MediaWiki engines? --Millosh 16:44, 17 Oct 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Thanks!
Hey :)
Thanks for the welcome, now I've just gotta figure how to resurrect articles, cause it seems someone deleted your featured article.
- It was at en:troll (word), so I fixed the link. Guanaco 02:34, 30 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- It's easy to undelete articles; if the page exists in the archive, you will see "View and restore X deleted edits" on the page if it doesn't currently exist and on the history if it does. See Anarchopedia:Sandbox for an example. Even anonymous users can undelete. Guanaco 02:38, 30 Oct 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Scratch part of the page
Hey Guanaco!
Glad you edited SwitchWiki! How are we reaching out to anarchists to start building this? I posted about it, so it will reach AnarchoBlogs. I am really excited that this project is happening!
Best, MarkDilley
[edit] problems with meta-tag keywords
We have a problem with automatic-generation because it included template-calles. This shouldn't be.
I found in the file OutputPage.php the explaining
# This function takes the existing and broken links for the page # and uses the first 10 of them for META keywords
for the method addMetaTags().
But which are the "first" 10 links? This aren't the first words of the page or of the blocks... (I tested it) ... random?
We need a flag in the function to switch the generate manually... i.e.
__METATAGSKEYWORDS__ (abc1, abc2,...)
