− | Hi! And welcome to the Anarchopedia, the site where you can do whatever you want, whenever you want.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | This is supposed to be a constructive exploration into the value and extent of anarchical power structures, and their operation in a highly-decentralised, abstracted community of convenience. | + | |
− | | + | |
− | Because a power structure such as this is dependent upon the good self-regulation of the community, its success depends upon the goodwill of the members of the community which gave it birth. In a background cast with face-to-face interaction, social norms and their consequent responsibilities arise much quicker than in a situation whereby any person may make significant alterations to the text, and escape any significant backlash from the community simply by virtue of the abstracted mode of engagement. This amplifies the possibility for tragedy of the commons to occur, but also the standard of nobility to which the members of the community are called to serve it.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | To put it in plain english, you ''can'' do whatever you want, but the community will lose out if you do something bad. Consensus may win out in the end, and the community may be able to patch pieces back together again, but the best result will ensue from responsible enjoyment of the asset which we are building together here.

This is Frank's homepage. I know that anarchy is a stupid idea, I just figured that it was a funny name.
