The spam blacklist had stopped working, occasionally giving the error:
- PHP Warning: preg_match: Compilation failed: repeated subpattern is too long...
The problem is also being discussed here: http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension_talk:SpamBlacklist
Temporarily, it is solved by dramatically reducing the size of the list itself, until somebody posts a better solution at least. Better than having no spam filter at all, and reverting all the spam by hand.
