So, here are some of my ideas (and if you have comments, please leave it on the talk page. --Milos Rancic 14:51, 17 May 2006 (UTC)

Organizational issues

Server (and/or finances)

Anarchopedia becomes too big for one server and we need to find some way how to deal with it. There are some possibilities:

  1. I think that the best idea is to devide carriage about Anarchopedias based on languages: So, people from France (or people from France and Quebec ;) ) should take a care about French Anarchopedia; people from Germany (Austria, Switzerland...) should take a care about German Anarchopedia etc. (This also means that we should find a model how to deal with new languages: who would handle new requests and how it would be done...)
  2. A possibility is to ask communities such as http://communitycolo.net/ (google for "community colo").
  3. There is, as I think, the most complicated option, too: to try to organize donations for the servers.

Control of the domain

I shouldn't be the owner or the domain(s) (including anarchopedia.net and anarchopedia.info). It should be owned by the community; but we should think how to do that...

Formal organization or not?

Should we make a formal organization or not? If we do so, we should do that in all countries where people who are working on Anarchopedia exist (similar to Wikimedia). In general, I am not sure is this idea is good or not. There are some advantages of having the formal organization(s), but this is not anarchic.

The second possibility is to join/incorporate/leave Anarchopedia's communities into existing organizations (such as FAU, IWW etc.).

And, of course, there is a possibility to leave our relation not formal and to use anything which is able to be used. (Maybe it is the best idea?)

Meetings and permantent work on organizational issues

Meetings should be periodical events. We should conclude when would we make the next meeting.

But, our work on organizational issues should be permanent. We should make such papers and talks about important issues for us -- all the time.

Also, I don't think that we need some kind of formal Assembly to make important decisions. Of course, we should find a way how to organize ourself -- without a possibility that someone is not included in decision making.

Technical issues

We need people for administration of server(s) and MediaWikis. Maybe we should try to find them from anarchists who are developing MediaWiki (I am sure that there are such people even they don't know that they are anarchists ;) ).

Social issues

X and I were talking about making workshops ond IRC (maybe once or twice per week): about (1) free software and (2) anarchism. I think that such events should be important part for growing of our community; as well as for our knowledge (and, of course, all of materials we can put on Anarchopedias).

About Anarchopedia

I think that Anarchopedia is:

  1. Live organization based on anarchist principles;
  2. Example of anarchist organization on Internet, which elements can be used for real communities;
  3. Knowledge resource compatable with other knowledge resources.

And, yes, I think that it seems that we are/would be able to become an important part of global anarchist movement.
