Basic Structure II

Welcome to the second lesson of Esperanto. Now we will learn more about the structure of this language, and you will be surprised about how easy the this language is.


Feminine of a noun

In Esperanto when you want to change a noun from masculine to feminine you only must add the the particle -ino.

                 Patro(father)-Patrino(Mother)
                 Knabo(guy)-Knabino(girl)
                 Frato(brother)-Fratino(sister)
                 Signoro(Mr.)-Signorino(Mrs.)


And this apply for all the nouns.


Plural of a noun

In Esperanto, if you want to change a singular into a plural, you just only have to add the letter -j.

            Birdo(bird)-Birdoj(birds)
            Knabo(guy)-Knaboj(guys)
            Floro(flower)-Floroj(flowers)

And again, it apply for all the nouns.


Adjectives

Adjectives in esperanto are always fineshed in the letter -a. When a noun is modified, for example, changed form singular tu plural, the adjetive suffer the same transformation.

          La bela floro.(The beautiful flower)
          La belaj floroj.(The beautiful flowers)
